ART&TUR – Festival Internacional de Cine de Turismo es un evento único en el panorama nacional e internacional. Organizado por APTUR – Associação Portuguesa de Turismologia y por BRIDGE – Events and Entertainment, cuenta con el apoyo oficial del Ayuntamiento de Vila Nova de Gaia. El Festival ART&TUR surgió de la ambición de crear en Portugal un evento pionero que fuese al mismo tiempo un centro de creatividad e innovación en el ámbito de la promoción turística (referencia inevitable para todos los operadores y entidades del Turismo), un foro de reflexión sobre las nuevas tendencias del turismo así como facilitar el diálogo entre los expertos académicos y representantes del sector empresarial. Hoy atrae al evento muchos de los mejores productores, cineastas, creativos, y expertos reconocidos mundialmente en la producción audiovisual, en el cine, en el turismo y en el marketing.
Este Festival cuenta con el alto patrocinio del Presidente de la República de Portugal. Además, al nivel científico, el ART&TUR opera en estrecha relación con varias universidades y escuelas politécnicas portuguesas, en la organización de la » International Conference on Cinema & Tourism», que también es apoyada por la Euro-Asia Tourism Studies Association (EATSA), que también es un importante foro para la difusión de los conocimientos.
Su IX edición se llevará a cabo del 19 hasta el 22 de octubre del 2016 en la ciudad de Vila Nova de Gaia, Oporto.
